Fuligni, located on the eastern slopes of Montalcino, is an estate known for producing high-quality Brunello di Montalcino. Spanning approximately 100 hectares, with 14 hectares of vineyards, the winery focuses on Sangiovese grapes. Their flagship wines include Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, aged meticulously, and Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, which is only made in the finest vintages. Additional wines include Rosso di Montalcino Ginestreto, S.J. Toscana, and Rosato Fuligni.

The estate has a rich history, with the Fuligni family’s roots tracing back to Venice and England before settling in Tuscany in the 18th century. Giovanni Maria Fuligni established the winery in Montalcino in the early 1900s, and since 1971, it has been managed by Maria Flora Fuligni, who continues the family’s commitment to quality winemaking.

The estate also produces Grappa di Brunello and extra virgin olive oil. Fuligni follows a philosophy of low yields and careful selection, ensuring that only the best grapes are used. If a vintage does not meet their high standards, they opt not to produce Brunello that year.

The vineyards include both older and newer plantings, contributing to the depth and structure of their wines. The winery blends traditional and modern techniques, emphasizing long aging processes. Their wines are recognized for their balance, elegance, and ability to age gracefully.

Fuligni is dedicated to preserving the essence of Montalcino’s terroir, making it a respected name in the world of Italian wines.
