Tasting Notes
Neal Martin 94-96
The 2023 RomanΓ©e-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru, matured in two-thirds new oak, is actually cut from a similar cloth to the Les Suchots-more about finesse and delineation than horsepower. If you are seeking transparency in your Pinot Noir then these aromatics are for you. The palate is medium-bodied with filigreed tannins. This is understated with wonderful symmetry and poise, yet dare I say that the Les Suchots and possibly the Aux Malconsorts are the better wines this year?
Anticipated maturity: 2028-2055
