Tasting Notes

The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Clos de l’Orme is one cuvée where I felt there was a little sur-maturité with touches of fig and dates infusing the red fruit. The palate is succulent and very ripe, though the acidity maintains the freshness. Quite dense towards the finish, I would just like to see a little more terroir expression here.

Cathiard’s 2020 Chambolle Musigny Clos de l’Orme mingles aromas of raspberries and plums with hints of burning embers, warm spices, rose petals and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, lively and concentrated, its rich core of fruit is framed by powdery tannins.
