The 2022 Chambertin Grand Cru has a strong marine element on the nose: sea spray and oyster shell commingle with predominantly red fruit. There is tangible mineralité here, though maybe not as nuanced as the Mazoyères at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins. There s lovely salinity here; the finish is almost pixelated and extremely long. A precision-tooled Chambertin that will give 20 to 30 years of drinking pleasure.
