Tasting Notes
Neal Martin 92
The 2021 EchΓ©zeaux Grand Cru appears to have a lot of whole bunch on the nose, which impedes the fruit profile, with cranberry and redcurrant peeking out from behind those stems. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, fresh and quite marine-driven, with a hint of Japanese nori infusing the red fruit. Fine grip, still quite stemmy, although I will give it the benefit of the doubt because they should be assimilated with time. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
Anticipated maturity: 2029-2048
