The 2021 Chardonnay Carbone is a bright, airy wine. Blocked malolactic fermentation contributes to a wine that is vibrant and energetic. Crushed rocks, white peach, mint and white pepper are nicely delineated. The aromatics are very pretty, but the 2021 is a bit lean in my view. Let’s see what happens in bottle.
