Storage costs are £13.50/year per 9L equivalent, charged per 75cl & will be charged monthly. First & last 30 days of storage are free of charge.

Moving your assets unnecessarily disrupts the wine, adds a risk of damage/breakage, & increases the carbon footprint. We recommend keeping your wine in its current location.

Home delivery (UK) - from £15

UK home delivery can be organised at the checkout unless your purchase item is a 'Future Arrival'.

'Future Arrivals' can still be purchased by selecting 'Place in your Lay & Wheeler Trading bonded storage account at Coterie Vaults Ltd.'. Once landed, we will notify you when the item is ready for delivery. If you do not deliver thereafter, monthly storage fees will apply.

ETAs should only be used as a guideline & are subject to change.

Bonded Transfer - £25

When you check out, you can transfer your order to another Bonded Warehouse in the UK unless the item you want to purchase is a 'Future Arrival'.

'Future Arrivals' can still be purchased by selecting 'Place in your Lay & Wheeler Trading bonded storage account at Coterie Vaults Ltd.'. Once landed, we will notify you when the item is ready for delivery. If you do not transfer thereafter, monthly storage fees will apply.

ETAs should only be used as a guideline and are subject to change.

This item is a 'Future Arrival'. Therefore, it is not possible to organise home delivery or bonded warehouse transfer at the checkout today. After purchasing, you will be notified when it arrives in our warehouse and can then organise a delivery or transfer. If you intend to leave in your Lay & Wheeler Trading bonded storage account at Coterie Vaults no action needs to be taken.

Tasting Notes

Neal Martin 92

The 2021 Volnay Les Santenots-du-Milieu 1er Cru has a simple nose with brambly red berry fruit. It’s a little rustic but clean and fresh with fine delineation. An unprepossessing bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with suppler, more pliant tannins than Henri Boillot’s Volnay Chevrets. Well balanced with lightly spiced red berry fruit. Not a powerful Volnay, yet focused with a dash of white pepper on the finish. This is a lovely Volnay to enjoy over the next 15 years. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting. [Neal Martin, 01/10/2025]

Anticipated maturity: 2027-2042
