“The 2016 Volnay 1er Cru Fremiets offers a mixture of red and black fruit on the nose, quite floral with hints of crushed violet and rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with a pleasant fleshy mouthfeel. This is not a deep Fremiets, but there are fine-boned tannins and it is potentially a pretty and feminine Volnay with a touch of piquancy on the finish. Lovely.”
