2006 Alexandra Rosé Millésimé Magnums
We have secured first-tranche access to the UK exclusive release of 2006 Alexandra Rosé Millésimé, with only one other UK merchant receiving this rare allocation. In Magnum, this is about as scarce as the Alexandra cuvee gets. Laurent-Perrier are legendary for their rosé Champagne and Alexandra Rosé Millésimé sits at the pinnacle of the house’s production. The 2006 is only the eighth vintage produced since 1982, with Alexandra made in tiny quantities of no more than around 12,000 bottles. Production was down around 40% in 2006, further reducing an already highly limited release.
2006 was a vintage of extremes in Champagne, with an unusually hot, dry June and July before September brought cool nights, allowing the grapes to reach excellent physiological maturity while retaining freshness. Alexandra 2006 is the classic 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay blend, sourced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards owned by Laurent-Perrier and made using the saignee method.
After twenty years ageing in Laurent-Perrier’s cellars, it is drinking beautifully now. Disgorged in June 2024, Aldo Fiordelli awarded the Magnum 98 points, while Antonio Galloni gave it 97+ points, calling it “powerful, decidedly explosive Champagne packed with fruit and structure to match” and noting that it is still very young. At £565 IB per Magnum, do not miss this is opportunity to secure the 2006; once these are gone, they’re gone – and the next release will be the 2012 in early 2027.

Why Buy?
- The first tranche of 2006 Alexandra Rose has landed in the UK, and we’re among the first to offer it.
- Production was down 40% in 2006, so very few bottles were released – there will be no further bottles of the 2006 coming to the UK once this allocation sells out.
- After the 2006, the next release jumps all the way to 2012 next year, making this a particularly rare opportunity to secure the vintage.

The estate’s remarkable journey has been shaped by visionary figures, beginning with Mathilde-Émilie Perrier, who defied convention in 1889 with the creation of “Grand Vin Sans Sucre,” an early expression of the brut style. Decades later, Bernard de Nonancourt propelled the brand to international acclaim, championing a fresh, elegant approach to Champagne that remains its hallmark today.
